Council Subcommittees
Councilwoman Williams serves on three City Council Subcommittees, one of which she chairs:
- Seniors, Families and Park Subcommittee, chair
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to seniors, families and youth, including libraries, education, sister cities, and arts and culture with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Public Safety and Veterans Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on veterans, courts, homeland security, police and fire issues with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Downtown, Aviation and Economy Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to the development of the city’s downtown core, the city’s support of sports and events related to sports, the continued development of our airports, equal opportunity and diversity, and the city’s support of the ASU, UofA and Phoenix biomedical campuses with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Finance, Efficiency and Innovation Subcommittee, member
This subcommittee provides guidance on issues related to identifying specific recommendations for efficiency improvements, examining alternative service delivery methods, identifying organizational structure efficiencies and ensuring the City's continuing focus on customer service.
